What happens after you get in touch

No mystery, no drawn-out sales process. Here is exactly what to expect from the moment your enquiry lands with me.

Step 1

I reply personally

Your message comes straight to Martin — not a shared inbox or a call centre. I aim to reply within a few hours during working hours (Monday to Friday, 9am–6pm). Anything sent outside those hours is answered as soon as I’m back at the desk.

Step 2

A free 20-minute call

A relaxed conversation — by phone, video call, or in person if you're nearby. I ask about your business, your customers, and what you actually need the website to do. It's free, with no obligation and no sales pressure.

Step 3

Design concept and a fixed quote

You see a design direction and a clear, fixed price before you commit to anything. No hourly billing, no surprise add-ons, and everything explained in plain English rather than jargon.

Step 4

Build, launch and beyond

I build the site, refine it with your feedback, and take it live. I don't disappear after launch — I stay available for updates, questions and ongoing support as your business grows.

What to include in your enquiry

You don't need a brief or a budget worked out. But the more context you can give me, the more useful my first reply will be — and the faster I can get you a realistic quote.

Not sure what you need yet? That's completely fine. "Just exploring" is a perfectly good starting point, and plenty of my conversations begin exactly there.

Want to see how one of these starts and where it ends up? Here is a project in full: Read the C&S Cleaning Services case study — no website at all, and what the first three months after launch produced.

  • What your business does — the trade or service, and the kind of customer you want more of.
  • Whether you already have a website — if so, the address, and what's working or frustrating about it.
  • What you want it to achieve — more phone calls, more enquiry forms, bookings, online sales, or simply looking credible when someone searches your name.
  • Where your customers are — the towns and areas you actually serve, which shapes how I approach your local SEO.
  • Any rough timescale — whether you need it live for a specific date or you're planning ahead.
  • Sites you like — competitors or businesses in other trades whose websites appeal to you.

Questions before you get in touch

The things people most often want to know before sending that first message.

How quickly will I hear back?

I aim to respond within a few hours during working hours — Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Every enquiry gets a personal reply from a real person, never an automated response or a call centre.

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. The initial consultation is free with no obligation and no sales pressure. If I’m not the right fit for what you need, I’ll tell you honestly rather than push a project that won't work for you.

Do you meet in person or work remotely?

Both. I’m based in Surrey and work with small businesses in person and remotely across the whole region — whichever suits you better. Read more about how I work.

Which areas do you cover?

Surrey and South West London. I have dedicated pages for web design in Kingston, Wimbledon, Guildford, Woking, Richmond, Surbiton, Reigate, Byfleet, Epsom, Sutton and Cheam. If your town isn't listed, ask — I very likely still cover you.

I already have a website — can you still help?

Yes. As well as building new sites I handle complete redesigns, refreshes of existing sites, and migrating an existing domain and hosting across. See the full list of services.

Do you only build websites?

No. Alongside website design and build I handle SEO and Google rankings, Google Business Profile setup, and hosting and domain packages — all of it in service of getting you found and getting you enquiries.

How does pricing work?

Every price is on the website — £595 for a Starter site, £1,295 for a Growth site and £1,995 if the site needs to take bookings or payments. I’m not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay.

What happens after my website goes live?

I stay available. Launch isn't the end of the relationship — I’m here for updates, changes and questions as your business grows. You can read what previous clients say about working with me.
