Web design & SEO for trades and construction

The job goes to whoever
they can find and trust.

Builders, electricians, plumbers, roofers, landscapers. I build websites that turn up when someone nearby searches for the job you do — and that give them a reason to ring you rather than the next name down.

The problem

Good trades lose work
to whoever turns up first

A burst pipe, a leaking roof, a rewire that will not wait. Nobody asks around for a recommendation any more — they get out a phone and search, and they call one of the first names they find.

Being good at the work is not the same as being findable. Plenty of trades with twenty years behind them are invisible online, while a newer outfit with a decent website and a filled-in Google profile takes the calls.

The fix is not complicated. It is a site that loads fast on a phone, says plainly what you do and where, and turns up when someone nearby searches for it.

A page for each trade you actually offer
A page for each town you cover
Room for your accreditations and insurance
Photographs of your own work, not stock
Google Business Profile set up properly
Click-to-call on every screen, on every page
Reviews where a customer will actually see them
Before they ring you

What someone checks
in the thirty seconds before calling

They are not reading your site. They are scanning it for three things, and if they cannot find them quickly they go back to the search results.

01

Do you cover me?

The single most common reason a visitor leaves. If your towns are not stated plainly, and there is not a page for the one they live in, they assume the answer is no and move on.

02

Do you do this exact job?

“Building services” tells them nothing. A page that names the job they have — the extension, the consumer unit, the flat roof — tells them they are in the right place, and it is the page that ranks for it.

03

Are you the real thing?

Photographs of your own finished work, your accreditations, your insurance, and reviews with names on them. Stock photos of somebody else’s kitchen do the opposite of what they are there for.

What’s included

The build, and
the work that follows it

Pages that match real searches

A page for each trade and each town, written around the words people actually type. On the Growth package these are the pages that do the ranking, and the keyword research happens before a word is written.

Built for a phone on a job

Mobile-first and hand-coded, so it loads on a bad signal. Click-to-call in reach on every page, and an enquiry form that lands in your email or WhatsApp, whichever you will actually check.

Google Business Profile

Set up or cleaned up, with the right categories and service areas. For most trades this is where the calls come from before the website has finished ranking.

Room for proof

Space designed in for accreditations, insurance, guarantees and photographs of your own work — the things that turn a visitor into a phone call.

Reviews that keep coming

Review capture set up on the Growth package, so your Google rating keeps climbing instead of stalling at the four you collected two years ago.

The copy written for you

One 30-minute call is all I need. You talk about the work, I write the site. No blank page and no homework waiting on you for six weeks.

Most trades want the Growth site at £1,295 — it is the one with the town and trade landing pages. If you are just starting out and need somewhere credible to send people, the Starter site is £595. If you take paid consultations or deposits online, that is the Bookings & Ordering site at £1,995. All three are on the pricing page, in full, with the terms.

Tell me what you do
and where you do it.

Twenty minutes on the phone, no charge. What the trade is, which towns you cover, and where the work comes from now. Fixed price and fixed scope in writing after that.
