The clock starts once I have all three: your deposit, your content call done, and your photos and any logins I need. Not before. It pauses while I’m waiting on you, and restarts the day you come back to me.
“Indexed” means something you can check yourself: your homepage and main service pages returning in a site:yourdomain.co.uk search.
SEO Retainer — £199/month
Available with Growth and Bookings & Ordering.
Minimum 6 months on Growth, 12 months on Bookings & Ordering. Rolling monthly after that, 30 days’ notice.
On Bookings & Ordering the first month is free, so a 12-month minimum is 11 payments of £199.
Every month, without fail
- Search data reviewed. Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools: which terms are bringing clicks, which are sitting just off page one, where competitors are taking traffic that should be yours
- One new page published, written and optimised to target the best opportunity that review turns up — or an existing page rewritten instead, whichever the data says will move faster
- Technical pass: page speed, indexation, broken links, structured data
- Google Business Profile post and review management
- A plain-English report showing clicks, enquiries and what’s changing next month
I don’t promise rankings. Not number one, not page one by a given date. Google’s ranking is affected by your competitors, your industry, your reviews, your area and algorithm changes that nobody outside Google sees coming. Anyone quoting you a guaranteed position is guessing, and you should walk away from them.
What I do promise is the work. Every month you get the data review, the new page, the technical pass and the report. If a month passes without them, that month is free. No arguing, no invoice.
That’s the difference between this and an agency that takes your £199 and goes quiet. You’ll be able to see exactly what was done, every month, and watch the click numbers move.

How it works
- Call — 20 minutes, no charge. What the business does, who you want calling you, what’s working now.
- Proposal — fixed price, fixed scope, in writing.
- Deposit — 50% books your build slot and is non-refundable. Balance due on launch.
- Content call — 30 minutes on the phone. You talk about the business, I write the site. Send your photos and any logins I need at this point: with the deposit paid and the call done, that is when the launch clock starts.
- Build and review — first draft, then your revision rounds.
- Launch and handover — site live, Search Console transferred to your name, walkthrough call.
Questions
Why are your prices on the website?
Because you’re going to ask anyway, and making you sit through a call first wastes your time and mine. If the number doesn’t work for you, you’ve lost thirty seconds instead of an hour.
Which package should I pick?
Starter if you need somewhere credible to send people. Growth if you want the phone to ring — it adds the search-targeted landing pages that do the actual ranking. Bookings & Ordering if the website is the sales channel and you need to take orders, bookings or payments on it.
How long does it take?
Two to three weeks on Starter, three to four on Growth, four to six on Bookings & Ordering. Your site will be live and indexed by Google within 30 days — 45 on Bookings & Ordering — or you don’t pay the balance until it is. No. Copywriting is included in every package. One 30-minute call is all I need — you talk, I write. Copywriting covers the pages listed in your package, drafted from that one content call, with revisions included in your package’s rounds. Rewrites beyond that are billed hourly.
Do I need the SEO Retainer?
It is available with Growth and Bookings & Ordering, and not available on Starter. If you are on Starter and want it, pay the £700 difference to move up to Growth, then take the retainer. The build gives you a site that can rank. The retainer is what makes it rank. Minimum 6 months on Growth, 12 months on Bookings & Ordering, rolling monthly after that with 30 days’ notice.
Who owns the site and the domain?
Your domain is registered in your name. You own it, and you keep it if you leave. You own the site outright once the balance is paid, and the files are supplied on request at any time. Search Console ownership transfers to you at handover.
What does the Care Plan cost after the free period?
£20 a month or £200 a year. It is free for the first 12 months with Growth and Bookings & Ordering, and required for the first 6 months with Starter.
Can you build me an online shop?
Bookings & Ordering covers taking orders, bookings and payments. If you are selling physical products — stock levels, size and colour variants, shipping bands, returns — that is a different build, quoted individually, from £3,500.
What if I need more pages than the package includes?
Extra pages are £195 each, written and optimised like the rest. So seven pages on Starter is £595 plus two at £195. An extra revision round is £120 and a new logo is £350. Add-ons are quoted with the build, so the total is fixed before you pay a deposit.
Do you work outside Surrey?
Yes. Most of my work is done remotely and I have clients across the UK. If you’d rather meet, and you’re within reach, I’m happy to.
Is VAT included?
No. I’m not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay. If that changes, existing agreements are honoured at the price you signed at. Your domain is added to the invoice at cost, usually £12–15 a year. On Bookings & Ordering, Stripe fees and the merchant account are yours.
